Smart Construction Field has been designed so that a limited, critical set of functions is available when offline. When Smart Construction Field is opened, you will be prompted to wait as data is preloaded for offline use.
In order for offline mode to be available the app must have connectivity long enough to preload this data.
When connectivity challenges arise, the app will give you options on how to proceed. Tap Switch to Offline Mode to continue with the limited offline functionality. You will still be able to make time entries, view the Time Log, and add entries to the Fuel, Material Delivery and Machine Logs. To wait for internet connectivity to return, tap Try to reconnect. The app will remain unavailable until you are able to reconnect.
It will be indicated that you are in Offline Mode by the red band at the top of the screen. In the image below note that functionality has been greyed out and is no longer available for use.
When a connection is again detected you will be prompted to go back online, and the band at the top of the screen will turn green. Tap the Go back online button to return to Online Mode.
Once you have returned to Online Mode, Smart Construction field will sync your data. Any time entries or adjustments made in offline mode will be added, and any changes that have occurred in other area of the application while you were offline will be brought up to date as well. A count of these records that are be synced will be displayed.
