- From the Homescreen, tap the Changes button.
From any other screen in the app, tap the icon in the lower menu. - The Change Order screen opens. Tap the dots at the right hand side of the change order you wish to modify, then tap Edit.
- The Edit Change Order screen opens.
- Modify any of the following fields:
a. Status: Update the status to reflect the current state of the change order (Pending, Submitted, Approved, Rejected, Completed). b. Change Order Name: Update the title. c. Description: Update the description of work needed. d. Work Window: Update the amount of time allocated to complete the work. This may be greater than the work estimate. For example, it may take 3 hours to complete the work, but it will need to be done over a period of five working days. In this example the work window would be five days. e. Work Estimate: Update the estimated amount of time that will actually be spent doing the work. For example, it may take 3 hours to complete the work, but it can be done over a period of five working days. In this example the work estimate would be three hours. f. Customer Quote – Estimated Cost: Update the cost estimate provided to the customer to complete the change order. Note that only users with the SC - Cost Visibility permission will be able to view this cost detail. g. Customer Quote – Estimated Timeline Impact: Update the amount of delayed time associated with this change order to the customer. Note that only users with the SC - Cost Visibility permission will be able to view this cost detail. h. Steps Needed:
i. Tap the Steps icon.
The Edit Steps screen opens.ii. Tap the “+” icon in the lower right corner of the app to add a new step. The Add Step screen opens. iii. Enter a Step Name (required), Description, and Time Estimate. iv. Tap the “Check” button to add this step. Tap the “Check + New” button to add this step and another, or tap the “X” button to exit without adding this step. v. The step(s) now appear in the Edit Steps screen and within the Steps icon on the Change Order screen. i. Photos:
i. Tap the Photo icon to add photos to your change order. The Photos screen appears. ii. Tap the “+” button to add photos to the change order. Your device will then prompt you to either access your camera or your files.
iii. Select the photo you wish to upload. The Add Photo screen appears.
OR
Choose to take a new photo using your device. You may be asked to grant permission to Smart Construction to access your photos, and will need to do so to add a photo to your change order in this manner. Once the photo has been taken, either tap the Checkmark button to proceed, or the Back button to try again. The Add Photo screen appears.
The Add Photo screen appears.iv. Enter any notes or details about the photo, then tap the “Checkmark” button to add the photo to the change order or the “X” button to discard the photo. If you chose to add the photo, it now appears in the Photos screen and is noted in the Photos icon. v. Follow the steps above to add additional photos. - Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with the updates to this change order, or tap the “X” button to discard the edits to this change order.
- If saved, all details now appear in the change order.
