Project info can be viewed via the steps below, but only project administrators and those granted rights to edit project info can do so.
- Tap the Main Menu button in the upper right corner of the Homescreen.
- Tap the Project Info option in the Main Menu.
- The Project Info screen opens. This will display the info for the project you are currently viewing. To learn how to switch to a different project, see Moving Between Projects.
Depending on your rights within the application, you will see one of the below options:
Project Info View Only: For non-administrators of this project, the screen displays the Project Title, Project Status, Customer, Cost Code, Jobsite Address, Project Scope, Project Assignments, Project Permissions, Default Work Schedule, the Contributing Teams List, Notifications, and any associated Daily Surveys.
Project Info Admin Menu: For administrators, project info is grouped into Project Details, Contributing Team List, Project Work Schedule, Project Permissions, Notifications, and Daily Report Survey. Tap into the desired section to view and edit the corresponding information.
Project Info View Only Project Info Admin Menu - Tap Project Details and the Edit Project Info screen will open. Make any needed changes to the Project Status, Project Name, Project ID, Project Owner, Customer, Project Scope, and/or Jobsite Address. The Cost Code Group may be edited as well if the cost code has not yet been assigned or used on the project. Once in use, the Cost Code Group will be greyed out and a cost code will be required for the following: Time Clock: Clock In, Time Card: Time Entry Edit, Time Log: Add/Edit time adjustment, Task Add/Edit, and Material Delivery: Add/Edit.
By default, a project's location will be determined by the jobsite address. To edit the GPS coordinates associated with your Geofence:
a. Tap the View/Edit Geofence button. b. The View Geofence screen appears. Tap the Edit icon to modify the Geofence.
c. The Edit Geofence screen appears. Use the Edit Coordinates panel to modify the details of the Geofence. Tap on the panel to edit the entries for latitude and longitude, or to type in a new radius (the radius can also be adjusted by using the blue slider bar).
d. The Edit Coordinates panel opens allowing you to type in a new latitude, longitude, and radius.
e. Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with edits, or the “X” button to discard edits. Either option will return you to the main Edit Project Info screen.

- To edit the Contributing Team List, tap the corresponding section in the Project Info Admin Menu. The Contributing Team List dialogue opens. From here, one or several teams can be added and granted Project Management Access (vs. view-only rights). Teams with Project Management Access will also be able to access the project in Smart Construction Office. Use the Delete icon to remove a team from the project, and/or use the Select Contributing Team option to add one more contributing team to this project. Contributing teams are able to be assigned tasks and add time entries to the project.
- Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with edits, or the “X” button to discard edits.
- Tap the Project Work Schedule to modify default work dates, times, and holidays associated with this project.
Default Work Schedule: Edit or modify the days of the week that will be used to create a default work week for your team. Below, a typical Monday to Friday work week is shown. Then, choose a work week start day from the dropdown menu.
Typical Work Day: Edit the hours that will be used as default working hours for your enterprise.
Work Holidays: Choose a Holiday Country from the dropdown menu. This will serve as a default starting point for holidays available for this project by populating the holiday list with all major holidays for the chosen country. Click on Work Holidays to view a detailed listing of the holidays associated with the chosen country. Work holidays will not be considered workable dates when using automatic updates to the Critical Path.
The Work Holidays dialogue opens, showing available work holidays for the chosen country for the next three years. Any holidays that have already passed will display as greyed out. Select or deselect holidays individually by tapping the checkbox, or use the Select AllorSelect None buttons to perform bulk edits. Tap the checkmark button to save.
Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with edits, or the “X” button to discard edits.
- To edit Project Permissions, tap the Project Permissions option in the Project Info Admin menu. Learn more about editing Project Permissions here.
Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with edits, or the “X” button to discard edits. - Tap the Notifications option in the Project Info Admin menu to modify notification settings for this project. The Edit Notifications dialogue opens. From here you may tap the Delete icon to the right of a team member to remove them from the notifications list or use the+ Add Recipient button to send notifications to additional team members.
Tap the “Checkmark” button to proceed with edits, or the “X” button to discard edits.
- To edit the Daily Report Survey associated with this project, tap the Daily Report Survey option in the Project Info Admin menu. The Daily Survey dialogue opens.
Select the desired survey from the dropdown menu, then tap the Checkmark button to continue or the "X" button to cancel.
