Equipment Log entries are created when users are logged into Smart Construction Field and working in bluetooth-enabled equipment. The time logged for equipment cannot be edited, but the following can be modified:
- Edit Entry Details: Users with rights to view the Equipment Log can edit the Project, Cost Code, Task, and/or Notes associated with an entry. Note that entries for the current day may not be edited until the following day.
-
Add an Adjustment: Users with rights to view the Equipment Log can add adjustments to capture usage time of equipment that is not captured via bluetooth. Adjustments appear as separate entries and are identifiable because they do not have an associated user or time entry, or bluetooth and map icons. In the examples below, you can see an Equipment Log entry that was added via bluetooth (note the additional details and icon shown) and an adjustment.

- From the Homescreen, tap the Equipment button.
From any other screen in the app, tap the icon in the lower menu. - The Equipment Log screen opens. Tap down arrow in the line of the machine whose time entry you would like to edit.
- That machine's detail expands showing all time entered on that date and any Task and Cost Code detail associated with the entry automatically. Please note that all entries are recorded and displayed in the project's local time zone. If the log is being viewed in a different time zone it will still display in the time zone associated with the project. To modify the details associated with an entry:
a. Tap the Edit icon next to an entry to make changes.
Note that entries may only be edited after they have been in the system for 15 or more hours. Hours that have not yet been in the system for 15 hours will display a "Lock" icon instead of the Edit icon.
b. The Edit Time Log screen opens. Note that the Project and Equipment fields are disabled--this indicates that these fields are not editable. Here we can adjust the Total Hours, Clock In or Clock Out date, Cost Code, Task, or modify Notes.
