- From the Homescreen, tap the icon to open the Main Menu.
- The Main Menu opens. Tap the Admin option.
- The Admin menu opens. Tap the Labor option.
- The Labor Menu opens. Tap Role Maintenance.
- The Role Maintenance dialogue opens.
a. Back Arrow: Tap to return to the previous screen. b. Inactive Toggle: By default this view displays active roles only. Tap this to view both active and inactive roles. Inactive roles will appear greyed out. c. Role Title: This is the name assigned to the role. d. Permissions Count: This number indicates the number of permissions that have been granted to this role. e. More Options: Tap these three dots to open a dropdown menu with options to Delete or Edit a role, or to see the users assigned to this role. f. Add Role: Tap this button to add a new role.
Adding a New Role:
- Tap the Add button the the lower right corner of the screen.
- Enter a role name, and optionally, a description. Then select the permissions that will be granted to this role using their corresponding checkmarks. Note that permissions are grouped by topic--click on any grouping to expand and view the related options.
- Once all permissions have been assigned, tap the Checkmark button to proceed, or the "X" button to cancel.
Editing a Role:
- To edit a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.
- The dropdown menu opens. Select the Edit option.
- The Edit Role screen appears. Make any necessary changes to the Role Name, Description, and/or permissions.
- Tap the Checkmark button to proceed, or the "X" button to cancel.
Deleting a Role:
- To delete a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.
- The dropdown menu opens. Select the Delete option.
- Note that only roles that do not have users associated with them can be deleted.
Viewing Users Assigned to a Role:
- To view users assigned to a role, tap on the More Options dots on that role.
- The dropdown menu opens. Choose the Users option.
- A window opens displaying the number of users assigned to that role, as well as the users' names.
